The 2010 Annual Walk Schedule is now available online, providing information on walking events in all four counties. 

An affilitated club of the Canadian Volkssport Federation, which promotes non-competitive participation in walking and other physical activities for fun, fitness and friendship.  Ideal for the entire family!

Heart to Heart™ is a 6-week education program for cardiac patients and their families.  Education topics include exercise, medications, nutrition, and emergency planning.  This program is suitable for patients with a history of heart disease (i.e. angina, heart attack, stents, CABG, heart transplant, valve replacement, etc) and may also be beneficial for persons with diabetes.

One of six Community Health Boards serving the district.  Using a population health approach, the Board aims to improve the health of the communities in the area of Inverness County north of the Margarees, Harbour Bridge and North of Ford View Bridge.  Contact for more information about opportunities for funding of community-based projects, and for updates on their Community Health Plan.
