The Town of Windsor - Recreation Department is excited to kick off the third season of the Indoor Walking Program.  It is INDOOR, FREE, PET FRIENDLY, ALL AGES, FULLY ACCESSIBLE for ALL ABILITIES - - Monday through Friday program.

It will start on  Monday, October 5, 2009 from 8:30 am - 10:00 am at the Hants County War Memorial Community Centre.

The Town of Windsor offers a wide range of physical activity and recreation programs to people of all ages. 

Recreation facilities include a Hants County War Memorial Community Centre, outdoor pool, tennis club, bowling centre, skatepark, beach volleyball court, playgrounds, basketball court, regional library and curling club. There are ball parks, a canoe club, an indoor rink and walking trails offering many options for indoor and outdoor active living opportunities.

Group meets monthly at the Hants Community Hospital in Windsor where information sessions are provided on topics of interest to cardiac patients.  The Helping Hearts visitation service is also provided.  "Helping Hearts" are cardiac patients who are happy to talk to fellow cardiac patients with a similar condition, who are living a normal and happy life.  Volunteers can visit while the patient is in-hospital or at their convenience in their home.  Contact for more information on the support group and the "Helping Hearts" Visitation Program.
